EXPERTISE

Dedicated teams. Better experience.

Advanced diagnostic equipment. Specialist clinics, consultants and surgeons. Circle hospitals are centres of excellence for orthopaedic care. Our teams of internationally-acclaimed orthopaedic experts ensure you will receive the best advice and the right care. All in a world-class, state-of-the-art environment.

Knee Unit

From total knee replacement and ligament surgery to osteotomy and physiotherapy – our leading knee specialists offer a full range of advanced techniques to return you to mobility. One of the reasons Circle hospitals are ranked in the top ten hospitals in the country for orthopaedic surgery.

Hip Unit

Our surgeons have extensive experience in hip procedures. This includes carrying out major hip surgery, as well as minimally invasive hip arthroscopy, or keyhole surgery, which can help to repair minor damage. As well as these procedures, we also provide post-operative care, which often consists of physiotherapy and a tailor made rehabilitation programme.

Shoulder Unit

Our shoulder unit combines some of the UK’s leading consultant surgeons in the UK with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment. This means we can provide rapid diagnosis and a wide range of procedures, from the simple, such as arthroscopic subacromial decompression, to the more complex, such as shoulder replacement.

Spinal Unit

Our spinal and neurosurgery team offer assessment and treatment, including conservative, injection and surgical options, of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine conditions. Our cutting-edge procedures include: cervical disc replacement, spinal decompression, lumbar spine microsurgery and vertebroplasty.

Hand & Elbow Unit

Our experienced and recognised hand and elbow specialists deliver a wide spectrum of surgical procedures. This includes congenital hand surgery, elective reconstruction after trauma, surgery of deterioration of joints, tendons and ligaments, as well as surgery of the nerves. Our surgeons work in close collaboration with therapists, ensuring a rehabilitation plan is mapped out from the outset for an efficient recovery.

Foot & Ankle Unit

Working closely with our physiotherapy department and podiatrists, our foot and ankle consultant surgeons offer a comprehensive range of procedures, using cutting-edge techniques. Our dedicated unit offers treatments including ankle arthroscopy, ankle replacement surgery, toe deformity correction and ingrowing toenail treatment.

Private patients

To benefit from rapid access and to choose a named consultant specialist, you can be seen as a private patient through your health insurance or by paying directly for your treatment. We offer a five star hospitality service with a Michelin trained chef, comfortable en-suite rooms, all in an environment where you will feel totally at ease. It is our unique approach that sets us apart, truly delivering outstanding healthcare to our patients.

NHS patients

Since 2006, every patient in the country has had the right to pick where they are treated using a straight forward system now called e-Referrals. Which means you are free to choose Circle hospitals, where you will be welcomed with the same dedication we reserve for all our patients.

To be treated by us at no cost to you, simply ask your family doctor to refer you to a Circle hospital and then arrange an appointment with us. The NHS will pay the same rate as for any other hospital in the country.

This referral system benefits everyone involved: pressure is taken off nearby NHS hospitals, there are no extra costs for patients and the NHS, and waiting times are made shorter.

CHOOSE PIONEERING
HEALTHCARE

True partnership. True dedication.

We believe people should demand more from their hospital experience. Because our hospitals are co-owned by a true employee partnership, the people making the decisions are the ones looking after our patients – care is our top priority. That’s why we’re able to offer a world-class experience that we ourselves would want to receive.

But don’t just take our word for it. Explore some independent patient reviews of our care, all taken from the unaffiliated NHS Choices website.
